Colt
Single Action Army (SAA)    .45 LC
Very early boxed 2nd Gen., about 100%
Year: 1957      Estimated value: $6,000.00
This 2nd Generation Single Action is in the buntline configuration with a 12” barrel and is a first-year production buntline, from 1957. This is actually one of the earlier of the buntlines produced, with barrel number 180, the 80th buntline barrel. It comes with its original numbered box and all gun numbers match, of course. Its condition is nearly mint perfect as issued, and unfired. Early buntline prices, like the SAA’s can fluctuate significantly, but are never cheap. In the April, 2013 Rock Island auction, a buntline more than 1,000SN higher than this one, and BB 598 with wood grips brought more than $5,450. Hard rubber grips are more rare than wood. I have never seen an earlier SN or BB numbered buntline on the market.
