Smith & Wesson
2nd Model Double Action .32
Nickel, 3" barrel, HR grips with brown flap box
Estimated Year: 1881 Estimated value: $850.00
This early S&W D.A..32 revolver is the 2nd model with its irregular side plate but still retaining the grooved cylinder. Numbers match on the frame, cylinder, and latch. There is some light pitting of the original nickel finish, including inside the barrel, but overall about 80%+ remains. Action is flawless. Some case colors remain on the hammer. With this 1890-1891 era gun is an old brown flip-lid box with no SN markings, and showing some damage from apparent humidity. This is a correct period box, possibly original to the gun.
